When I right-click the sound Icon in the bottom right corner of my screen and click Troubleshoot Sound Problems, this is what comes up (suggesting NVIDIA is for HDMI). I should also mention that I uninstalled all drivers from the device manager and then installed the audio driver from the disk that came with my motherboard. This seems like it is something that should be easy to fix, especially by uninstalling and re-installing the drivers.
